James E. White, MD, FACS

James E. White, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an experienced General and Vascular surgeon in the Chattanooga-Cleveland area. He is one of a few surgeons in Middle Tennessee who is trained in the technique of EVLT endovenous laser therapy for varicose veins. His office staff at Advanced Surgical Concepts, PLLC have been active in endovenous laser therapy in the treatment for severe varicose veins for more than 5 years. As of Sept 2007 we have completed over 700 Endovenous Laser Treatments for varicose veins. Dr. White graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia in 1990. He completed a General surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1996. He is board certified in General Surgery by the prestigious American Board of Surgery and is a full Fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. White also has an undergraduate degree in Radiologic Technology from the Medical College of Georgia , which he recieved in 1979. His vast experience with x-ray and ultrasound allowed him to pursue advanced training in phlebology [the study of veins] with an emphasis on the use of EVLT laser closure and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy in the non-surgical treatment of vein diseases.

On a personal note, Dr. White and his wife Casi are member of Candies Creek Baptist Church of Cleveland, TN. From 1985-1988 Dr. White resided in Guadalajara, Mexico completing studies at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara; there Dr. White’s Spanish improved greatly. Dr. White is a [14-year] veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve as a Lt. Col. He has lived with his wife Casi in Cleveland, Tennessee since 1998. He and Casi have two sons, Cole and Carson.
